We pride ourselves in being an exceptional practice where children come first. Our child-focused team works hard to meet the needs of children from infancy through young adulthood. All of our pediatricians and medical staff are highly trained professionals, and maintain the highest level of accreditation in pediatrics to address the special needs of infants, children, and teens.

Dr. Emanuel joined the Pediatrics on Hudson family in Summer 2018. She earned her B.A. from Yale University and her medical degree with distinction from The George Washington University School of Medicine, and completed her pediatric residency training at New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital at Columbia University Medical Center. Prior to medical school, Dr. Emanuel received her Master of Science in Global Public Health from the University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland and worked in the U.S. headquarters of Doctors Without Borders advocating for expanded access to medicines in developing countries and other public policy matters. Dr. Emanuel lives in Manhattan and enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her husband and young daughter.
Dr. Franzblau joined the Pediatrics on Hudson team in September 2019 after working at Montefiore Medical Group and completing her residency training at NYP-Columbia. She is originally from NY and completed her undergraduate studies at Boston College and received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Franzblau lives in Riverdale and any given weekend can be found reading, traveling, or exploring beautiful places and fun restaurants with her husband and son. She feels privileged to be a pediatrician and is thrilled to be a part of the Pediatrics on Hudson family!
Dr. Hough considers taking care of children a privilege. After college, she worked on Wall Street for three years, before becoming a high school biology teacher in the Bronx, NY. It was at that time that she decided to go to medical school. Immediately after residency, Dr. Hough joined Pediatrics on Hudson, where she was fortunate to work and learn from her mentor and former medical partner, Dr. David Siegler. In her free time, Dr. Hough can be found on the tennis court or on the sidelines of the baseball field cheering on her boys. During winter weekends, she is likely skiing in Vermont with her family. She and her husband, Ben, have three sons.
Dr. Jacobs is a Board Certified physician in Pediatrics as well as Adolescent Medicine. Prior to joining Pediatrics on Hudson in 2018, Dr. Jacobs served as the Director of Health Services of Sheltering Arms, a New York City agency focused on the care of children in foster care and juvenile justice. From 2007-2016, she was an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Adolescent Medicine at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, where in addition to her clinical practice and teaching responsibilities, she was the Founder and Director of the Intrauterine Device and Contraceptive Implant Service.Her clinical expertise focuses on the treatment of a wide range of medical and mental health issues, including primary/preventative adolescent care, gynecologic & menstrual issues, contraception, eating disorders, medication treatment of depression/anxiety, and LGBTQ inclusive care. Dr. Jacobs has lectured regionally and nationally numerous times and has published extensively on issues related to Adolescent Medicine. Dr. Jacobs lives in Westchester with her family. In her free time, she is often found running.
Dr. Su is thrilled to be a part of the Pediatrics on Hudson family; she joined in summer 2015 after completing her residency at Columbia. She is inspired by her grandmother, who was a pediatrician in Shanghai, China. Dr. Su lives in Manhattan with her husband and rambunctious dog, Cooper. She enjoys jogging with Cooper, taking road trips, and cooking for her family and friends.
Dr. Whalen began working at Pediatrics on Hudson in September 2001, shortly after completing her pediatric residency at Columbia. Before becoming a pediatrician, she worked in science education, lived in Spain, and studied public health. She has lived in the Rivertowns for over 15 years and enjoys reading, biking, and spending time with her family. She feels that being a pediatrician is the best job in the world and is honored to be a part of the Pediatrics on Hudson team.
Beth Shulman is a Registered Nurse and an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. As an RN, she has worked in outpatient clinics, and Labor and Delivery, Postpartum and Neonatal units. In 1993, Beth became a Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. She has had a private practice since then, and is delighted to support breastfeeding families at Pediatrics on Hudson. Beth enjoys traveling, music, kayaking and reading. Beth and her husband John live in Hastings with their dog, Kuma. They are avid gardeners, and love to cook the food they grow. They have two adult children, Jake and Maya.
Eileen Kostik has more than 35 years of experience as a registered nurse, 10 years as an emergency room nurse and over 25 years as a pediatric nurse specializing in the care of newborns through young adults. She started her career working as an emergency room nurse where she met Dr. David Siegler as they were taking care of a sick child. Shortly thereafter she started working for Pediatrics on Hudson, where she is proud to say she has been for the last 25 years. Her experience in dealing with children has enabled her to participate in health care missions to Honduras and Haiti. Eileen’s loyalty to the practice is due, in part, to the philosophy of Pediatrics on Hudson, that is to treat each child the way they would want their own child treated. Eileen, in her free time is an avid walker and enjoys traveling and spending time with her grandson, Jack. Eileen is married to Richard, and has two grown children, Erika and Ricky.
